Tomoko Hisamatsu x Kono Desk

Matsutake’s trip.
Traveling Matsutake is an associative narrative starring a mushroom.
It was originally conceived as a limited-edition T-shirt in collaboration with Tokyo-based artist Tomoko Hisamatsu, whose recent family trip around Europe was cheekily hijacked by this project. Since then it has expanded beyond its initial form, manifesting also as drawings and a print edition by the artist, a short film, a zine, and a hat.

Somewhere in China.
The soil around here is thick, full of memories of old dynasties, and other charged sediment.
Creatures, I’ve never seen before, I’ve met since I left.
